Some giants pandas, which are protected animals in China, were brought in Beijing by plane to be placed in the Beijing Zoo during the next Olympic Games.
The eight pandas, come from search and protection pandas center of Wolong, siting about 20 miles from the last may 12th earthquake center. Pandas was a little nervous after the earthquake, but Wolong Center director said that the eight animals are cured and in good health.

Since yesterday, a sportive event named “Tibetan Olympics 2008″ are held in Dharamsala, in India.
This event of amateur sportsman organized by Lobsang Wangyal, ghater 23 tibetan athletes from 17 to 28 years old and coming from all horizons. The goal is to include Tibetains in the Olympic Games which start on next august 8, in Beijing and to allow tibetans to participate at this celebrations.
The organizer decided to build this project the day after IOC gave to China the right to welcome the Olympic Games in 2001.

Friday, the torch relay will be welcomed in Shanghai just after 3 days break due to the three mourning day observed for chinese earthquake’s victims.
The Olympic flame should arrived tonight from Zhejiang province and events will start friday morning until saturday.

Jamaican sprinter and actually world recordman on 100m race, declared recently that I’ll be ready and cured in order to qualify himself and then participate to Beijing Olympic Games.
Indeed, a pectoral wound stopped the runner in his training so he didn’t take part to Mt-Sac race in California and Penn Relays Race in Pennsylvania.

The south african double-amputee sprinter Oscar Pistorius, is now allowed to take part and to compete against able-bodied runners in any competition. A Court of Arbitration judged him in law to run in traditional events.
Pistorius can now hope a qualification for the next Olympic Games in Beijing but before, he must run under the time imposed by the Olympics rules in a race.
